Experienced Wind Turbine Engineer
Salary – Commensurate with experience (£30k)
Location – Must be based within the Midlands area.
We are looking for an experienced wind turbine engineer. Our fleet consists of Vestas, Endurance and other sub-100kw wind turbines.
Due to the rapid growth of our current business and our maintained fleet, this role requires quick integration and adaptability into the present engineering team.
You will primarily be part of a 2-person team covering sites across the whole of the UK as far north as Fife and as far south as St Austell with a large pocket of the fleet based in both North and South Wales. Travel and overnight stays are a fundamental part of this role.
Wider teamwork tasks often require up to 4 members working together so excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Full UK driving license is essential.
The Role:
- Service, install and maintain wind turbine fleet
- Use in-house software to create service reports
- Ensuring compliance with all necessary HSE regulations relating to the role (including creation of RAMS)
- Liaising with on-site customers in a professional manner
- Willingness to learn new skills and engineering solutions provided by the company
The Person:
- Experienced mechanical & electrical engineer in the wind turbine sector
- Reliable, hard-working and outgoing
- Able to use own initiative and excellent self-management skills
- Team-player with the ability to lead when required

Trainee Wind Turbine Service Engineer – Electrical
Salary – From £17-24k dependant on experience.
Location – Must be based within the Midlands area.
We are looking for a trainee electrical engineer seeking employment within the wind turbine sector and the chance to further their development and skills.
You will receive structured and accredited training with a focus on your personal development, including Working at Height & Rescue qualifications.
Due to the rapid growth of our current business and our maintained fleet, this role requires quick integration and adaptability into the present engineering team.
Travel and overnight stays are a fundamental part of this role as our sites cover the whole of the UK as far north as Fife and as far south as St Austell with a large pocket of the fleet based in both North and South Wales.
Spectrum Energy Systems has a leaning towards the electrical element of wind turbine technology, therefore the trainee role will focus more heavily on this area of the industry although the opportunity to develop the required mechanical skills will also be available for the right candidate.
Full UK driving license is essential.
