Spectrum were approached by the owners of a Vestas V39, located on the Faccombe estate in Hampshire. The client had purchased a refurbished gearbox and arranged shipment to site. Our team was tasked with removing the existing gearbox from the nacelle, and replacing this with the clients new gearbox.
The procedure was time critical, as the old gearbox had to be removed and stuffed in the same vehicle as the new gearbox was arriving. This had to be done on the same day.
